Day 1 - Experiencing Endodontics!

- Diagnostic aids – Radiographs – Thermal test – referred pain.
- Diagnosis of pulpally involved teeth – Clinical approach - Reversible pulpitis.
- Practical experience with Dentaloups – Magnified field.
- Practical experience with Rubber Dam – Benefits.
- Access Preparation – Straight-line access – long axis alignment.
- Straight line access and long axis alignment
- Coronal flare – Radicular access. Key to successful cleaning and shaping.
- Practical experience with Apex locator – Advantages – Answer to two-dimensional
- X-ray images.
- Cleaning & Shaping – Benefits of Ca(OH)2, NaOCl, EDTA
- & Tapered preparations.
- Combination of Crown down technique & Step back technique. (Double flare technique)
- Basic endodontic technique – Tapered Hand Instruments, Hands-on – uniform taper.

Day 2 - Experiencing Endodontics!
- Lecture on multiple taper Hand and Rotary instruments – economical approach.
- Modified crown down technique – necessary for Indian clinics.
- Hands-on on ProTaper – Hand and Rotary – one tooth for each technique.
- Lunch Time : 1:30 to 2:00 p.m.
- Lecture on Post endodontic filling, Coronal seal.
- Lecture on Passive, Parallel, Metal Post.
- Hands-on on use of passive parallel post.
- Interactive session
Day 3 - Experiencing Endodontics!
- Introduction of i – endodontics.
- Lecture on triple flare technique Rotary instrumentation – for Rotary beginners
- Hands-on triple flare technique Rotary. (Single file Rotary Endodontic Technique)
- Economical endodontics – need of the private practitioner !
- Achieving Linear tugback - Linear resistance forms.
- Revision of any Hands-on – have more time for any particular technique – develop your tactile !
- Interactive session.
Spend more time with the course conductor !

Use and applications of microscope

Precision with practice is finesse in endodontics. This centre offers Continuing Dental Education Programmes on Endodontics and clinical practice limited to endodontics. We are glad to announce the training programme on Microendodontics. This course will elaborate on finer aspects of Endodontics and use of microscope.
SALIENT FEATURES OF THE C.D.E.P.
Course dates – 30th April & 1st May 2011.
Duration – 2 days (9 am. to 5 pm.)
Limited attendance course – 8 to 10 participants only. (Only for IEC Members)
Course fees – for 2 days Rs. 30,000/- + Rs. 3,090/- (10.3 % Service Tax) = Rs. 33,090/- (Rupees Thirty Three Thousand Ninty only) &
for 3 days Rs. 40,000/- + Rs. 4,120/- (10.3% Service Tax) = Rs. 44,120/- (Rupees Fourty Four Thousand One Hundred and Twenty only)
Participants are requested to get 3 unmounted extracted molars & 2 anterior teeth and access cavity prepared. Work one-on-one with the course conductor.

- Variations in Apex Locator – discussion.

DAY – 2 Finesse in Endodontics !
- Lecture on use of Ultrasonics in endodontics & Hands – on.
- F.I.R.E. Technique.
- Obturation Technique – Warm Gutta Percha (Thermoplasticised)
- Hands - On – lateral condensation, Ultrasonics during Obturation and use of Thermafill & Sectional gutta percha obturation & obturation by vertical compaction.
- Lecture & Hands-on on non-surgical endodontics & surgical endodontics - Retreatment cases, Complications in endodontics. (Retreatment tips, Broken Instruments, Ledges, Handling of MTA and Apicoectomy)
- Hands-on on MTA for perforations ! – Handling of MTA.
- Different designs & concepts in use of post. (Discussion)
- Interactive session.
This Hands – on course will be held twice in a year !
